Present your points, not your script

Reading your slides word-for-word isn’t clearer.
It makes your audience remember less.
Decades of research shows it doesn’t work.
It’s called the redundancy effect.
When speech and text are identical,
working memory gets overloaded.
At that point, your audience will be better off:

The fix:
treat your slides as supporting material -
not the full script.
This means:
📌 Use keywords to highlight concepts, not long sentences
👀 Show what you mean, don’t just tell
